In the 1800m G3 Leopard Stakes on the dirt at Niigata Racecourse on August 6th, Riot Grrrl(JPN) by Sinister Minister(USA) upset her more popular male rivals to earn her first graded stakes win. Omega Guiness(JPN) by Logotype(JPN) was a neck back in second. Lux Frontier(JPN) by Epiphaneia(JPN) was a half a length back in third.
In the 1700m G3 Elm Stakes on the dirt at Sapporo Racecourse on August 6th, sixth favorite Sekifu(JPN) by Henny Hughes(USA) got up to win his second graded stakes win after a year and a half of being a bridesmaid. World Tachyon(JPN) by Asia Express(USA) was a half a length back in second. Roche Lobe(JPN) by Lord Kanaloa(JPN) was a further two and a half lengths back in third.
In the 2000m G3 Kokura Kinen at Kokura Racecourse on August 13th, Echt(JPN) by Rulership(JPN) stalked the pace before sprinting off and earning his second graded stakes victory. T O Sirius(JPN) by Just a Way(JPN) was two and a half lengths back in second. Gold Eclipse(JPN) by Duramente(JPN) was another length back in third.
In the 1600m G3 Sekiya Kinen at Niigata Racecourse on August 13th, Avverare(JPN) by Duramente(JPN) came from mid-pack to finally capture her first graded stakes victory. Divina(JPN) by Maurice(JPN) was three-quarters of a length back in second. Rhinebeck(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) was a nose back in third.
In the 1200m G3 Kitakyushu Kinen at Kokura Racecourse on August 20th, fifth favorite Jasper Krone(USA) by Frosted(USA) sprinted away to earn his second graded stakes win this year. Post-time favorite Mama Cocha(JPN) by Kurofune(USA) was a half a length back in second. Stone Ridge(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) was a neck back in third.
In the 2000m G2 Sapporo Kinen at Sapporo Racecourse on August 20th, Prognosis(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) earned his second career graded stakes win. Top Knife(JPN) by Declaration of War(USA) was four lengths back in second. So Valiant(JPN) by Orfevre(JPN) was another three lengths back in third.
In the 1600m G3 Niigata Nisai Stakes at Niigata Racecourse on August 27th, the second graded stakes for two-year-olds so far this year, was won by Ascoli Piceno(JPN) by Daiwa Major(JPN). Shonan Manuela(JPN) by Just a Way(JPN) was a length back in second. Clean Air(JPN) by Real Impact(JPN) was another length back in third.
The 1200m G3 Keeneland Cup at Sapporo Racecourse on August 27th was won by Namura Clair(JPN) by Mikki Isle(JPN), claiming her fourth graded stakes race. Cinnamon Stick(JPN) by Jo Cappuccino(JPN) was a length back in second place. Toshin Macau(JPN) by Big Arthur(JPN) was a nose back in third.
