Schilthorn(JPN) by Screen Hero(JPN) was a half a length back in second. Lebensstil(JPN) by Real Steel(JPN) was just a nose back in third.
In the 1200m G3 CBC Sho at Chukyo Racecourse on July 2nd, Jasper Krone(USA) by Frosted(USA) posted a major upset when he wired the race for his first graded stakes win. Thank You Yuga(JPN) by Lord Kanaloa(JPN) was half a length back in second. Smart Courage(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) was two more lengths back in third.
In the 2000m G3 Tanabata Sho at Fukushima Racecourse on July 9th, second favorite Seiun Hades(JPN) stalked the pace before taking over to win comfortably. This was the son of Silver State(JPN)'s first graded stakes win. Kukuna(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN) was a length and a quarter back in second. Ho O Emmy's(JPN) by Lord Kanaloa(JPN) was a neck back in third.
In the 1400m G3 Procyon Stakes on the dirt at Chukyo Racecourse on July 9th, second favorite Don Frankie(JPN) by Daiwa Major(JPN) got his neck in front to beat the favorite and earned his first graded stakes title. Remake(JPN) by Lani(USA) had to settle for second. Omega Rainbow(JPN) by I'll Have Another(USA) was another six lengths back in third.
In the 1200m G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes at Hakodate Racecourse on July 15th, tenth favorite Seltsam(JPN) by Henny Hughes(USA) posted a major upset when he came from off the pace to win his first graded stakes with ease. Nanao(JPN) by Lord Kanaloa(JPN) was a length back in second. Sky Canvas(JPN) by Fine Needle (JPN), who set the pace, held on well and was another three-quarters of a length back in third.
In the 2000m G3 Hakodate Kinen at Hakodate Racecourse on July 16th, post-time favorite Rousham Park(JPN) by Harbinger(GB) rewarded his many backers when he got up to claim his first graded stakes win. Ruby Casablanca(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN) was two lengths back in second. Blow the Horn(JPN) by Epiphaneia(JPN) was a head back in third.
In the 1600m G3 Chukyo Kinen at Chukyo Racecourse on July 23rd, eighth favorite Selberg(JPN) by Epiphaneia(JPN) posted a major upset going wire to wire, earning his first graded stakes win in the process. Divina(JPN) by Maurice(JPN) was a length and a half back in second. Rouge Stiria(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) was another length and a half back in third.
In the 1000m G3 Ibis Summer Dash at Niigata Racecourse on July 30th, All at Once(JPN) by Makfi(GB), winner of the renewal held two years ago, won the title for the second time. Tokimeki(JPN) by Admire Moon(JPN) was a length and a quarter back in second. Lord Bay Leaf(JPN) by Vincennes(JPN) was another neck back in third.
In the 1800m G3 Queen Stakes at Sapporo Racecourse on July 30th, Dura(JPN) by Duramente(JPN), who was third in the G1 Japanese Oaks earlier this year, earned her second graded stakes victory. Win Pyxis(JPN) by Gold Ship(JPN) was a length back in second. Costa Bonita(JPN) by Isla Bonita(JPN) was a nose back in third.
