July JRA Graded Stakes Review

In the 1800m, G3 Radio Nikkei Sho at Fukushima Racecourse on July 3rd, third favorite Feengrotten(JPN) by Black Tide(JPN) got up to win his first graded stakes win of his career by three-quarters of a length. Front runner Shonan Magma(JPN) by The Factor(USA) held on to be second, and Satono Helios(JPN) by Epiphaneia(JPN) was a neck back in third.

In the 1200m, G3 CBC Sho at Kokura Racecourse on July 3rd, T M Spada(JPN) by Red Spada(JPN) went wire to wire to earn his first graded stakes win. Taisei Vision(JPN) by Turtle Bowl(IRE) was three and a half lengths back in second. Anegohada(JPN) by Kizuna(JPN) was half a length back in third.

In the 2000m G3 Tanabata Sho at Fukushima Racecourse on July 10th, sixth favorite Echt(JPN) by Rulership(JPN) posted an upset to win his first graded stakes race. Favorite Heat on Beat(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN) was two and a half lengths back in second. Second favorite, Anticipate(JPN) by Rulership(JPN), was a length back in third.

In the 1700m G3 Procyon Stakes on the dirt at Kokura Racecourse on July 10th, Gempachi Lucifer(JPN) by To the Glory(JPN) won his first graded stakes race. History Maker(JPN) by Empire Maker(USA) was half a length back in second. Sakura Allure(JPN) by Gold Allure(JPN) was another half a length back in third.

In the 1200m, G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes at Hakodate Racecourse on July 16th, Bouton d'Or(JPN) by Big Arthur(JPN) earned her first graded stakes title for her and her sire. Front runner Cri d'Ame(JPN) by Heart's Cry(JPN) was a length and a quarter back in second. Omatsuri Otoko(JPN) by Vittorio d'Oro(USA) was a neck back in third.

In the 2000m, G3 Hakodate Kinen at Hakodate Racecourse on July 17th, white thoroughbred Hayayakko(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN) won his second graded stakes title, first on turf. Favorite Meiner Virtus(JPN) by Screen Hero(JPN) was three-quarters of a length back in second. Scar Face(JPN) by Heart's Cry(JPN) was three lengths back in third.

In the 1800m G3 Chukyo Kinen at Chukyo Racecourse on July 24th, Belenus(JPN) by Turtle Bowl(IRE) went wire to wire to earn his first graded stakes win. Catedral(JPN) by Heart's Cry(JPN) was half a length back in second. Falconia(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) was a nose back in third.

In the 1000m G3 Ibis Summer Dash at Niigata Racecourse on July 31st, Believer(JPN) by Monterosso(GB) overcame a slow start to capture her first graded stakes win. Sin City(JPN) by South Vigorous(USA) was a length back in second. Lord Bay Leaf(JPN) by Vincennes(JPN) was half a length back in third.

In the 1800m G3 Queen Stakes at Sapporo Racecourse on July 31st, Terzetto(JPN) by Deep Impact(JPN) earned her second graded stakes title by a nose. Satono Cecil(GB) by Frankel(GB) came in second. Rosa Noir(JPN) by Manhattan Cafe(JPN) was a neck back in third.
