Spring all over the world brings with it a slew of two-year-olds in training sales. Japan's first sale of the year is the Kyushu Training Sale located at Saga Racecourse located on Kyushu island, the southwesternmost of the four major islands. Twenty-two two-year-olds will be breezed in the morning then offered in the ring later in the afternoon of April 2nd.
Sixteen stallions are represented at the sale including Apollo Kingdom(USA), Espoir City(JPN), Casino Drive(USA), Company(JPN), Crystal Wing(JPN), Civil War(JPN), Jungle Pocket(JPN), Stravinsky(USA), Strong Return(JPN), Danon Chantilly(JPN), Nakayama Festa(JPN), Pas de Trois(JPN), Miscast(JPN), Meisho Bowler(JPN), and Rose Kingdom(JPN).
The small catalog offers pedigrees with deep connections to top racehorses, broodmares, and stallions from all over the world including: Tokei Halo(JPN), Havre de Grace(USA), Tonalist(USA), Bayern(USA), Green Desert(USA), Tanino Gimlet(JPN), Biwa Hayahide(JPN), Last Impact(JPN), Danon Chantilly(JPN), Devil's Bag(USA), Singspiel(IRE), Sakura Reiko(FR), Rice Shower(JPN), Max Beauty(JPN), Sakura Laurel(JPN), Time Paradox(JPN), Trot Star(JPN)
Nine of the twenty-two cataloged two-year-olds are Kyushu-bred horses.
