2015 Hokkaido Training Sale in May
This year's Hokkaido Training Sale will be held at the newly renovated JRA Sapporo Racecourse. The facility includes the Fanfare Hall, the first hall of its kind in Japan where a sale can be conducted indoors at a racetrack, providing a luxurious and comfortable environment for guests.
The Hokkaido Sales will be offering various information for the Training Sale as follows.
Pre-Sale Information
1. Breeze-up DVD
Breeze-ups of consigned horses will be filmed in mid-April, and the DVD will be sent out in early May to anyone requesting a copy.
2. On-line Breeze-up DVD
Footage of the breeze-ups will be available from around April 30 (Thu) at the following URL:

3. On-line Repository
X-rays of the limbs and videos of the upper airway of sale horses will be available from around May 21 (Thu) at the following URL:

4． Anabolic Steroid Testing
Blood testing is conducted prior to the Sale and any horse from which anabolic steroids are detected will be excluded from the Sale. This testing has been conducted for the Training Sale from last year, and in 2014, all horses entered in the sale passed the testing.
5. Printed English Sales Catalogues
The printed catalogue will be sent out in early May to anyone requesting a copy.
6. On-line English Sales Catalogue
The catalogue will be available from around April 20 (Mon) at the following URL:

7. Breeze-ups
Pre-sale breeze-ups will be conducted at Sapporo Racecourse on May 25 (Mon).
8. Repository
X-rays of the limbs and videos of the upper airway of sale horses will be available for examination at a designated area in the sales complex.
9. Inspection of Horses
Horses will be available for individual inspection in the stable area of the Racecourse.
10. Preferred Minimum Sale Price
The seller's preferred minimum sale price will be made available for each horse in the Sale.
11. Horse Measurements
Measurements of each horse including the height, heart girth, cannon circumference and weight will be made available.
The Hokkaido Training Sale offers one of the few opportunities for you to buy ready-to-run 2-year-old horses in Japan. We hope to see you at the Sale!
