The Hokkaido Summer Sale, the largest yearling sale in Japan, will be held this year for four days from August 25 (Mon) to 28 (Thu). Each year, many owners and trainers attend the sale, where approximately 1,200 horses will be offered. The horses in the sale represent a wide range of pedigrees, and many of them can be purchased quite reasonably. The Summer Sale can be considered an excellent opportunity to obtain high-quality horses at relatively modest prices.
Hokkaido in August, when the Summer Sale will be held, is very pleasant, with comparatively cool temperatures for summer and low humidity. You can also enjoy numerous culinary delights, such as fresh vegetables and seafood as well as quality dairy products, in a beautiful natural environment, making it also a highly popular tourist destination.
