The Hokkaido Autumn Sale was held from October 13 (Mon) to 17 (Fri) (Foal Session: Oct. 13; Yearling Session : Oct. 14 - 17) at the Hokkaido Sales Compllex in Shin-Hidaka Town.
140 foals (95 colts, 45 fillies) were offered at the Foal Session, of which 24 (17 colts, 7 fillies) were sold for a clearance rate of 17.1%. The top-priced foal was a colt by King Kamehameha (USA) out of Monday Musume (JPN), purchased for 18,900,000yen by T.M. International Co.,Ltd.
There were 764 (355 colts, 409 fillies) yearlings on offer during the Yearling Session, of which 266 (155 colts, 111 fillies) were sold for a clearance rate of 34.8%. The top-priced yearling was a colt by Jungle Pocket (JPN) out of Paquita (JPN), purchased by Edge Co.,Ltd. for 15,855,000yen.
King Kamehameha (JPN) has his first 2-year-olds racing this year and has already sired graded stakes winner Fifth Petal (JPN) (HAKODATE NISAI STAKES Jpn3) and is currently the leading sire of 2-Year-olds.
